How to Write Your Thesis or Research Fast

How to write your thesis or research fast?

Thesis writing always seem to be a herculean task for most students. I can't blame you if you are among those who see the task of writing a thesis to be extremely difficult and tiresome.
This might be because of what you may have seen or heard from your seniors who you've seen struggling with theirs. However, I beg to differ.

Writing a thesis certainly requires time and effort. That is a given. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be troublesome or exhausting.

What seems to be the problem?

Over the years as a thesis coach, I've catered to a wide range of students who were facing difficulties in writing their thesis. And they all say the same thing when I ask them their opinion on their task at hand, "It's hard.". However, all of them also fail to do one important thing and that makes thesis writing hard for them.

What they fail to do is PLANNING.

Planning out your entire document is one of the most crucial steps to do when you are writing your thesis, may it be in a group or be it solo. Unfortunately, this is one thing that is never taught in school.

What is this PLAN?

You don't head out to party without any idea where you'd be going. You don't go on a vacation without any destination in mind, how to get there, who you're going with, how much money you need, et cetera. What you do for those things is exactly the same thing you'd be doing for your thesis. Below is a list of what is typically included.
  1. What kind of research will you be doing?
  2. What kind of perspective will you be taking?
  3. What kind of information will you need?
  4. What kind of materials will you need?
  5. How will you be proceeding to write it?
If you can come up with detailed answers for five questions listed above, then congratulations because you already have a plan.
